Sister Location abandons the stationary security guard concept for exploration-based gameplay. You walk through different areas each night, have specific objectives, and interact directly with animatronics through scripted sequences. It's more story-driven with voice acting and multiple gameplay styles per night.
In Circus Baby's area, follow her instructions exactly but be ready for surprises. In Funtime Auditorium, use controlled shocks when warned but never overuse them. For Ballora Gallery, move slowly and stop when the music gets loud. Each area has specific rules - listen to instructions but expect twists.
Custom Night has multiple challenge modes with different rules each. For Golden Freddy mode, balance all threats simultaneously: watch Ballora's audio cues, shock Funtime Foxy only when needed, flash Funtime Freddy when he appears, and manage Circus Baby carefully. Each preset requires different strategies.
